Exodus 14:14

Exodus 14:14
The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.

A friend shared this with me today.  I pray it will touch your life.

How does this affect your life? What does it mean to you?

Matthew 5:1-16

Hey friends!
Right now I am memorized the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) with a friend. I thought I would share how far I have gotten!

This is Matthew 5:1-16 based on NIV, but slightly in "Mandy version".

Now when He saw the crowds of people, He went up on the mountain side and sat down. His disciples came to Him and He began to teach them saying;
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.
Blessed are the those who mourn for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil things against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for great is your reward in Heaven for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.

You are the salt of the earth. If the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? Is it no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled by men?

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and hide it under a bowl. Instead they put it on a stand so that it give light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven.

Matthew 5:1-16 in NIV
1 Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them, saying:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
   for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
   for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
   for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Quotes from the Last Battle by C.S. Lewis

Right now I am listening to the Last Battle(Radio Theater).

Here are some quotes from it that I really like.

They were talking about the stable on the inside was bigger than the stable on the outside then Lucy said:
"In our world too, a stable once had something inside it that was bigger than our whole world."
Queen Lucy, The Last Battle

Here is the beginning on that quote:
“It seems, then,” said Tirian, smiling himself, “that the stable seen from within and the stable seen from without are two different places.”
“Yes,” said the Lord Digory. “Its inside is bigger than its outside.”

"The term is over: the holidays have begun. The dream is ended: this is the morning."
~Aslan

"What was the fruit like? Unfortunately no one can describe a taste. All I can say is that, compared with those fruits, the freshest grapefruit you've ever eaten was dull, and the juiciest orange was dry, and the most melting pear was hard and woody, and the sweetest wild strawberry was sour. And there were no seeds or stones, and no wasps. If you had once eaten that fruit, all the nicest things in this world would taste like medicines after it. But I can't describe it. You can't find out what it is like unless you can get to that country and taste if for yourself."

That is all for now!!!
