Come As You Are - Crowder

Sometimes music just speaks to us and touches us. I find this true over and over again.

This song is full of promises. I love the line "Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can't heal". Just remember that whatever you may be going through, Jesus is right there with you.

Below is Crowder's song "Come As You Are".

Our Project - 12 (she-shed, girls' get-a-way, cottage)

Finally, "black and white and read all over" on the inside!

This side is where the ladder is with a mirror and shelves for books! And of course our sign!
This side will either have a table or a chair. Currently, there is (from left to right) a wire to hang pictures with magnets, a red magnetic board, a white board, and a book pages flower wreath!
The couch. "Red"
"Read"
The letter still need to go up on the wall!
The loft and the stars!

I'm sure there will be more pictures to come, but for now we are quite happy with it!

Our Project - 11 (she-shed, girls' get-a-way, cottage)

And there she is!

Next the inside!!!

Our Project - 10 (she-shed, girls' get-a-way, cottage)

Wow! I can't believe what a big project this has been and how much time and energy we have all put into it!

We decided to pour cement for the foundation of the shed. And then of course we had to let that set and then came the moving! Again!

The foundation:

Another pretty sunset!

The poured cement and beginning to move it!

Getting it up on the platform.

Thank God for Something!

It is the season that we celebrate giving thanks. In the car today, I heard this song by Hawk Nelson on the radio called "Thank God for Something". While I've heard it many times now, it helped remind me of the holiday that is coming up soon.

(Even though thankfulness isn't just a season, now is a good time to be reminded that we can give thanks all year around!)

Sometimes, it seems like it can be hard to come up with even one thing we are thankful for, yet we have so many things. Let's just pick something!

Hope you enjoy this song and start thanking God for all the blessings you have!

Our Project - 8 (she-shed, girls' get-a-way, cottage)

The porch floor

Next I painted the porch floor. We used the same paint as inside, but we added some sand to it.

Next step - more staining on the outside!

Our Project - 7 (she-shed, girls' get-a-way, cottage)

Siding!

My dad and sister worked on the siding while I was painting the floors inside!

I just love the way it looks!

They did such a great job!

Reminds me of the log cabin look (or Lincoln Logs)!

Our Project - 6 (she-shed, girls' get-a-way, cottage)

Here are some more "before" pictures.

The loft floor.

And the ladder.

After we painted the floor!

And the "after" picture of the ladder.

The "after" of the loft!

One more of the "after" floor!

Next step - siding!

Our Project - 5 (she-shed, girls' get-a-way, cottage)

So most of the book pages were back on the floor. They were stuck to each other, but not the ceiling....

Next we took wallpaper paste and put that behind all of the pages. The next day the pages that had stayed up with the adhesive fell down and we had to put them back up.

On the third or fourth try, we ended up fixing the pages with mod podge and then coating the top with the mod podge as well. We also staples the edges. It took many attempts, but we finally got them up there!

Our Project - 9 (she-shed, girls' get-a-way, cottage)

We finally finished all the interior painting and touching up and now we have also finished staining the outside.

Before:

The sunset...Summer coming to a close and the daylight getting shorter. (We finished staining in the dark.)

After:

Up next - moving!

Our Project - 4 (she-shed, girls' get-a-way, cottage)

Book Pages!

We decided we would take old pages and cover the ceiling with them!

First we sprayed adhesive and then put up the book pages.

I just loved the way it turned out! Isn't it fun?

The next morning, this is what I found...
Nooooo..............

Not good...

Next - figuring out what to do.....

Our Project - 3 (she-shed, girls' get-a-way, cottage)

Even though we haven't come up with a name for our little project/she-shed, we did pick a theme!

Here we go!

All cleaned out!

First step was painting white.

More white.

And more white!

We painted the beams white.

And more white beams!

And then red around the windows. Loft window.

Back window.

Next Step - Book Pages!!!
